With extensive experience and knowledgeable expertise Fatima, who is the CEO and head designer at Tima.G, has worked successfully with innumerable clients who have all had great things to say. For Fatima, fashion design has less to do with work, and more to do with opening her mind to inspiring things. To her, every object, every event, and every situation poses as potential for a new project to give life to. From working on garments to thinking of new fashions that have never been tried, she’s definitely not one to shy away from opportunities when they come.
As she says herself, “During my years of working with different clients, I have gained valuable insights that allow me to recognize the desires of my clients to provide them with garments that truly fit their personalities and desires. In my life journey I experienced that everything is possible. As a mother, wife, and fashion designer I still crave more creative adventure everyday.”
After many years of pursuing a series of other projects, Fatima has finally found her passion as an aspiring fashion designer. As a young student, Fatima originally graduated from university with a degree in chemistry. She soon opened her own laboratory for research and began teaching at a university as well. Some years later she began to rekindle an old liking for fashion and apparel, coming to the realization that her dreams can only be fulfilled by greater things. With her extensive experience in the clothing industry, the transition to fashion design couldn’t have felt more natural. After studying fashion design at the Art Institute of Vancouver, Fatima is continuing her art everyday. Pouring thought, emotion, and narrative in her work, she is enjoying every new experience and perspective she gains as she pushes her brand, Tima.G, onward.
Debuting her new collection, Tima.G’s Fall and Winter 2015/16 line is a collaboration of the amazing architecture we are surrounded by with our desires for a well fitting and flattering gown. Inspired by architectural creations all around the world, the gowns are a celebration of humans’ creative power.
